And this includes benefits for the skin!
Now of course just simply drinking coffee won’t really have any impact on your skin, but making good use of your old ground coffee might just be a game changer.
You can reap all the amazing benefits which coffee has to offer your skin by either using creams or soaps that already include coffee, or by simply creating a quick body scrub with leftover ground coffee and some coconut oil!

And we tend to think most people don’t even know what’s happening to their bodies every time they drink coffee. That’s normal.

Coffee grounds can make a really good exfoliation.
In fact, we have actually started doing this on a weekly basis with used coffee from our coffee filter.
We take ground coffee and mix it with some organic coconut oil, then use it as a body scrub in the shower. You could also rather use olive oil, or even lemon juice.

They make an excellent exfoliate, and result in many dead skin cells and other pieces of dirt being thoroughly removed from the skin!
Scrub the mixture into your skin and let it sit for a few minutes.

How To Use Coffee On Your Skin

You can actually make a really good coffee scrub or coffee mask using ingredients you most likely already have in your home.
For making a coffee body scrub, you can use this recipe:
- Quarter cup coffee grounds
- Quarter cup sugar
- A bit of lemon juice to bind it together
Scrub the mixture all over your body, and let it site for about 5-8 minutes.
Then wash it off in the shower!
If you plan on using a coffee mask on your face, then try out this recipe:
- Equal parts coffee grounds
- Equal parts olive oil
Rub it onto your face as you normally would do with any other exfoliate.
Let it sit for a good 10-20 minutes, and then wash it off.
We have also used organic coconut oil instead of olive oil, and this worked really well.
You can also actually use this recipe for your body, especially if you want a more gentle scrub.
If you plan on using coffee in a foot bath, this recipe is perfect for that:
- Make a few fresh cups of large coffee
- Get a bucket in which your feet will fit
- Add the coffee together with the used grounds
- Soak your feet in the coffee, and scrub away any dirt or dead skin cells
Nothing beats having totally clean and smooth feet.
